Easily import and export data to and from FOLIO

FOLIO now provides you key functionality to integrate with external systems and backup your data. Import and Export buttons have been added to every data entry screens. Export your budget, costs, revenues and team member information such as wages, allocation and worked hours to CSV format in a few clicks. Import data from an external system or a previously saved export using a simple wizard giving you plenty of flexibility. The import wizard also gives you a detailed report of how things went, letting you fix any data errors that could have slipped in.

Add rich comments to Overviews and Steering Committee Reports

You can add comments in the four sections of the Overview, for both your folios and portfolios. Simply click the bubble icon located next to each section, and start typing! Comments can be assigned one of three pre-defined importance levels, each one translating in a rendering that should allow them to attract the right level of viewer's attention. Adding wiki markup also allows you to further format your comments, add links, etc., giving you tons of flexibility! And of course, comments will show up in the Steering Committee Report as well.

Consult the Earned Value Report at the portfolio level

The popular Earned Value Report is now available at portfolio level. Get the same clean periodic breakdown of earned value in contrast with budget and actual as you were used to at the folio level. Focus on categories and types you want, select the periodicity that fits your needs. Get a noiseless printable version for takeout, or export its data to Excel format to mine further. But be careful not to dig too far, you know what happened to the Dwarves...

Configure FOLIO at the enterprise level

Long awaited was the ability to configure accounting and work scheduling parameters globally for all you folios. Well, administrators can now do it from the new FOLIO section in the Add-ons administration page. The items in this section will let you define default configuration values for all your future folios and portfolios. You preserve the ability to override these on a per folio basis, if need be.

Base performance indices on Revenue vs Budget

What if you are a service company and want the budget of a folio to reflect your customer's budget, rather than your own? If you did not care about tracking profitability inside folio, you could already do it by simply use the Actual tab to enter what you charge your client. But last release introduced revenue and profitability management. So to support the described scenario and still let FOLIO provide you that precious profitability information, it now gives you the option to pick which of your Costs or Revenues to use as "Actual". So if the budget of your project is your client's, you can now both get the right performance indices calculated AND profitability tracking altogether.

Define custom fields for team members

Define custom fields for your team members by going to the folio's configuration and selecting the Custom Fields tab. Add the fields you'd like to show up in the selected person's details in the Team screen. Then go back to your folio, edit your team members, and populate those employee numbers, SAP IDs, or any other piece of info you want to keep handy.

Fully support username change in JIRA 6

FOLIO's support for username change in JIRA 6 was a bit clunky up to now. Its not the case anymore, as FOLIO now fully supports username change, without missing a beat!
