Installing Pathfinder

Pre-requisites

Please make sure you fulfill the following requirements before proceeding with installation:

  • A JIRA OnDemand instance with a valid license.
  • Chrome, Firefox or Safari

IE not supported yet

Internet Explorer is not supported yet, though we are working to make it available in a future release.

Pathfinder is an Atlassian Connect add-on, meaning that it is running independently from JIRA instances, on a remote server. This means that it does not require any change to your JIRA instance's database. It also does not store any sensitive data remotely. Please read our privacy policy to learn more about data that is stored to Pathfinder's database.

Installing Pathfinder

Installing Pathfinder is done by accessing the marketplace through JIRA's Manage Add-ons page:

  1. Log in to JIRA as a user with the 'JIRA System Administrators' global permission.
  2. Open the Cog menu at the top right of your JIRA window and click Add-ons
  3. Find Pathfinder in the list of available add-ons and click the Subscribe button.
  4. When successfully installed, you'll get a confirmation message. Click Get License.

Test your Pathfinder installation

Click the 'Pathfinder' tab to open Pathfinder.

Disabling Pathfinder

To disable Pathfinder:

  1. Log in as a user with the 'JIRA System Administrators' global permission.
  2. Open the Cog menu at the top right of your JIRA window and click Add-ons
  3. Find Pathfinder in the list of available add-ons and click the Manage button.
  4. Click the 'Disable' button.
