This section contains resources that will help you find your way and get started with FOLIO.

1. Grasp the Basic Concepts

Make sure you get familiar with the Basic Concepts before digging into FOLIO's pages. This will help you better understand the purpose of FOLIO and the terms used throughout its pages.

2. Access FOLIO

The Portfolio menu is visible if and only if the logged in user can browser at least one projet

The following conditions must be met before you can access FOLIO:

  • JIRA and FOLIO need to be properly installed and licensed before you can access FOLIO's pages.
  • You must be logged in with a user who can browse at least one project.

Once these conditions are met, a Portfolio menu will appear in JIRA's top bar. Click the Portfolio menu or hit keys g, then f to go to FOLIO.

3. Create a Sample Project

You should then create a Sample Project in order to experiment with all the features and get a feel of what it is like to use FOLIO in a realistic project that is underway.
