Wages

The wage of a team member is the hourly amount of money she earns when working on the Folio's Scope. A team member can have various wages over time. Wages are managed in Team member details panel, in the Wages table.

Wages in the table are sorted by their effective date. Each wage entry holds three pieces of information: an effective date, an hourly amount and an allocation percentage. Each team member must have at least one wage defined.

Effective date

Date at which this wage becomes effective. The wage remains effective until the next one becomes effective or until the Folio's end date if no other wage is defined for the member in this Folio. If no wage is currently effective, then the Team member is considered to be inactive in this Folio. If a wage is currently effective, it is shown in bold in the table and an arrow ( > ) appears on the left.

Wage

Amount of money that is paid to the team member for each hour worked on the Folio's issues.

Allocation

Percentage of the normal business hours that the team member is allocated (or committed) to the Folio. It is used to automatically compute worked hours (when not synchronized with JIRA's Worklogs) and to evaluate the resource's overhead.

Adding a Wage

To add a wage to a team member, click on the Add Wage button in the top right corner of the Wages section located in the Team member details panel. Save your changes by typing return or by clicking anywhere on the page.

Required Parameters
Effective dateDate on which the wage becomes effective.
WageAmount of money that is paid to the team member for each hour worked on the Folio's issues.
Must be positive
AllocationPercentage of the normal business hours that the team member is committed to the Folio.
Must be between 0 and 100

Editing a Wage

To edit a wage, click on the wage row of the Wages table. Save changes by typing return or clicking anywhere in the page.

The effective date of a wage that is associated with manually entered worked hours cannot be changed to be an earlier date. This rule does not apply on worked hours that are synchronized with JIRA's Worklogs.

Deleting a Wage

To delete a wage, click the trash icon on the row of the Wage table you want to delete.

At least one wage needs to be defined for each team member. Thus no trash icon will appear in the Wages table if only one wage remains.

Defining Vacations

To indicate that a resource does not work during a period of time, define a wage for that period with an allocation percentage of 0. The following is an example Wages table for a team member who does not work during the month of July 2013.
